Alhures is a studio dedicated to vernacular objects, ethnographic heritages and popular and traditional arts, aiming at their research, dissemination and problematization.

Departing from anthropology and art history, we seek to inhabit a place of intersection between human sciences and the artistic dimension, theoretical reflection and cultural production.

Using concepts and data collection techniques specific to the social and human sciences, we organize projects, exhibitions, events and publications that seek to think about the relationship between objects, heritages and identities, focusing mainly on the contemporary transformations of objects and vernacular practices.
